About Sarah

Leading people you care about —
and still feeling like you're getting it wrong.

You might be here because you're feeling dread before difficult conversations, so you delay them until the situation is already worse. Or helpless when you can see your team is misaligned but can't find the words that won't damage trust. Or like you're failing your staff — not because you don't care, but because caring isn't translating into them actually feeling heard.

And you're starting to wonder if being good at the mission was supposed to be enough — and why leading the people behind it feels like a completely different skill set that nobody taught you.

That's exactly where Sarah works best.

Nonprofit leaders — executive directors, program managers, team leads — bring their toughest people challenges to Sarah when they're ready to stop dreading hard conversations and start leading them. What they gain isn't a script. It's presence: the ability to walk into a difficult moment with clarity, stay in it without shutting down, and come out the other side with the relationship intact and the issue actually resolved.

Sarah has sat across from people in hard moments for most of her professional life — as a CASA volunteer with children navigating the foster care system, as a Case Supervisor training others to do the same, and as co-founder of Voice of Courage, where she spent six years equipping leaders for high-stakes communication. What she learned across all of it is that most communication problems aren't about the words. They're about presence — whether the person across from you feels like you're actually there, actually listening, actually willing to be changed by what they say. That conviction is at the center of everything she does as a coach.

You don't have to figure this out alone.
